We create opportunities for children and young people – locally and internationally – through education, creativity , and collaboration.
Rooted in reciprocity, global citizenship, and 21st-century skills.
How we work
Education, reciprocity & cooperation
Opportunities arise when young people not only receive, but also contribute.
Our working method
At Stichting Nos Meninos, we believe that real opportunities arise when children and young people not only receive, but also participate, contribute, and help build. That is why we always work based on 3 core principles:

Education, reciprocity and cooperation, locally and internationally.
Our projects connect education, identity, and international cooperation.
What we are working on
Programs and initiatives
At Stichting Nos Meninos, we build sustainable opportunities for children and young people, both locally and internationally. Our programs are developed in collaboration with schools, partners, parents, and communities, and focus on identity, skills, and global citizenship.
Our approach is based on reciprocity: not one-way traffic, but an exchange in which young people discover their own value, acknowledge that of others, and experience that they are meaningful—to themselves, their environment, and society.
Menino Bikes x Passer College Rotterdam
In collaboration with Passer College Rotterdam (special secondary education), students refurbish bicycles that are used for children in South America, the Caribbean, and Africa.
In this way, we connect education, craftsmanship, and mobility with international exchange. Something also comes back from the participating countries: stories, perspectives, and experiences that show Dutch students that they are part of a larger world.

Know Your Country x Know Your Identity
A program where sport, culture, and reflection come together. Young people and their parents delve into their heritage, develop leadership, and experience a reciprocal exchange between the Netherlands and Cabo Verde.
Menino Skills
Workshops and programs for young people, including "Choices & Opportunities" and "From Chaos to Order". In these, we support young people in making conscious choices regarding education, identity, and the future. Where appropriate, parents are also involved.

Yes to Tomorrow
A family-oriented program for children and young people affected by the childcare benefits scandal. In this program, both young people and parents are actively involved, because sustainable recovery is achieved where trust can grow again at home.
Menino Books
Through stories and creative projects, we stimulate culture, imagination, and self-confidence in children and young people.
Daarom bouwen wij programma’s waarin:
-
jongeren hun identiteit en zelfvertrouwen ontwikkelen
-
